The Airbag Reactor 18 from Arva is a robust and compact avalanche backpack that is perfect for day trips and freeriding. Its interior and numerous compartments provide sufficient space for the necessary day gear and avalanche safety equipment. For a comfortable fit on long trips, the backpack comes with a structured back pad that can be adjusted in size thanks to 3D Fit technology. The ergonomic waist belt, the adjustable shoulder straps, ski, snowboard and ice equipment mounts and the robust ripstop fabrics are practical details in the avalanche backpack. The heart of the Arva Airbag Reactor 18 is the compact and light Reactor Airbag System. It works using a gas cartridge (not included) which inflates a dual chamber airbag via a dual inflation system. The advantage of splitting the airbag into two separate chambers is that if it is damaged, at least one chamber is still filled with air. The lightweight airbag can be quickly and easily repacked after use. The release of the system is facilitated by a rotatable and length-adjustable handle that can be folded down after departure to avoid accidental release.
