The Arc'teryx Atom AR is our favorite jacket when it comes to warmth. In short, if you want a synthetic option to keep you as warm as possible, but don't want to step it up to a giant parka, then the Atom AR Hoodie is the jacket you're looking for. It's at least as warm, if not warmer, than any other jacket we've tested, but differs by providing a much better fit with optimal mobility and super comfortable fabrics. For winter life day in and day out, we have a hard time considering any other jacket, and it also works great as a thermal layer on skis or as a belay jacket for climbing.
