With a filter, you will achieve a filtration effect of over 90% and thus satisfy the quality requirements for fabric masks as specified in SN-CWA 17553:2020 where the filtration efficiency is recommended to be over 70%. The bacterial filtration efficiency is quality controlled by the Defense Research Institute (FFI).
If this fabric mask is used without a filter, however, the filtering effect is lower than the recommended filtering effect.
The elastic bands around each ear are adjustable so that the mask fits the vast majority of face shapes and sizes.
